Visit the Indiana Experience
Explore history through hands-on, immersive activities in a variety of settings.
Visit the Indiana Experience Field Trip Descriptions page for details on field trip options.
Field trips are available Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For groups of 10 or more, please schedule a visit at least two weeks in advance.
Indiana Experience student group visits are $3.50 per student. All chaperones and additional adults are admitted free of charge.
Tour Size Suggestion
We recommend up to 105 students at one time for the most positive field trip experience as some of our exhibits have limited space. If your group is larger than that we can discuss several different options to best accommodate your group.
We require at least one chaperone for every 10 students; these chaperones are admitted free of charge and will accompany students through the entire field trip experience. Additional chaperones are welcome, however, they may not all be able to participate in the field trip experience equally due to space restrictions in the exhibition spaces. Please let us know ahead of time if you will have additional chaperones.
A hands-on program titled Analyzing Photographs to Tell Stories is available for an additional fee of $1.50 per student. This offer is open to all school groups but it can also be used if you have groups larger than 105 as we will have half of the students tour the exhibits while the other half participates in the program, and then they will switch. Please note this will extend the tour by about 75 minutes. If interested, please ask for more information and for program availability when booking your visit.
