History Club Programs and Events
The Indiana Junior Historical Society’s history clubs participate in exclusive members-only programs and events throughout the school year. Whether visiting an Indiana historic site or producing a podcast about the history of their town, club members experience history in a fun and engaging way.
The Indiana Junior Historical Society awards two $500 scholarships to graduating seniors and The Society of Indiana Pioneers awards a $300 club scholarship each year.
The winner of the 2013 Kirby Scholarship was Audrey Post of the Woodsview History Club. Benjamin Fouch, president of the Brownsburg High School History Club, was awarded the 2013 Farnham Scholarship. Congratulations!
The John H. Holliday Award, established by The Society of Indiana Pioneers, is given annually to an Indiana Junior Historical Society club. The 2013 award was given to the Brownsburg High School History Club, led by Dawn Crone. This award includes a $300 prize for club activities. Congratulations!
