Peer-to-Peer Program

Peer-to-Peer Assessments

Our new peer-to-peer program gives local history organizations the opportunity for intensive reflection, networking and priority-setting. Participating organizations are paired by LHS staff with a peer organization. During reciprocal visits, each organization looks at themselves and the partner organization through their own eyes, through the eyes of the partner and through the eyes of LHS staff.

The visits encourage big picture thinking and conversation about the future, allowing participants to step back from the day-to-day chores and look at the long-term path the organization is traveling.

The final result will be a summary of priorities for each organization based on a self-assessment, peer feedback and LHS perspectives.

This project is supported in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and LIbrary Services.
