  Printed Collections - Trade Catalogs

This collection concentrates on catalogs from businesses that were either headquartered in Indiana or had a substantial presence in the state. Items in this collection date from the 1840s through the 1990s. The catalogs document the wide range of commodities that have come out of Indiana, including:
  • automobiles
  • furniture
  • musicalinstruments
  • hardware
  • architectural components
  • caskets
For a few companies, like Vonnegut Hardware Company and Link-Belt Corporation, the library holds substantial runs of catalogs. In othercases, there is a representative selection from a given company.
