Collection consists of one letter written by John R. Haulenbeck, in Indianapolis, to his friend Thedore. He asks Thedore to send him some medicine that a friend Cropsey used to brag about. The medicine is for a friend of Haulenbeck’s who has the “clap.” Haulenbeck also asks after Thedore’s family and apologizes for not having written sooner.
