Joseph Keys (b. 1803) was a native of Surry County, North Carolina, and settled in Johnson County, Indiana, around 1830. He was married to his wife, Lucinda (Lucy), about 1824, when he was disowned by the Deep Creek Friends Monthly Meeting, North Carolina. Joseph and Lucinda had three children: John (1830-1914), Benjamin (b. 1830), and Henry Lewis (b. 1836)
Benjamin Pickett Keys (1797-1872) was the brother of Joseph Keys. He married Elizabeth Bond (1801-1833) in 1826, and had four children: John (b. 1827), Joseph (b. 1830), Mary (b. 1831), and Daniel (b. 1833) After the death of his wife, Benjamin moved from North Carolina, and settled just east of Winchester, Indiana (Randolph Co.).
Peter Rich (b. 1811), a native of North Carolina, settled in Hamilton County, Indiana, in 1833, where he worked as a farm-hand. After he married Amy (Jessup) Rich (b. 1818), Rich moved to a farm near Horton, Indiana (Hamilton Co.). He was co-owner of the Westfield Flouring Mill until 1855. The Rich family had at least three children: Timothy J., Julia and Susan (fl. 1856-1862). Rich was a member of the Westfield Friends Church, and was active in the "underground railroad."
Timothy J. Rich died in 1862, while serving in the 57th Indiana Infantry Regiment, Company H.
Alexander Stephens (fl. 1834-1855) was a resident of Green Township in Randolph County.
