The Home Economics Club of McCutchanville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana, was founded in 1936 "to help each other make better homes; to create a good community spirit, sociability and neighborliness...and to carry on the Purdue Extension Work." There were about twenty members. The monthly meetings were sometimes all-day affairs, with songs and readings and refreshments as well as reports on such things as meat canning, lights in the home, and kitchen planning.
This collection, filling three folders, contains the minutes and attendance records of the McCutchanville Home Economics Club from 1936 to 1942. Records were kept, often in pencil, in the pages of a small loose-leaf notebook.
