NOTES: |
The Ku Klux Klan was formed in Georgia in 1915 and became a prominent national organization in the 1920s as an advocate for native-born, white, Protestant Americans. At its height in 1924, the Indiana Klan had more than 300,000 members, although it quickly declined after scandals in the mid-1920s.

The collection is a 43-page typewritten list of local Ku Klux Klan officers in Indiana in 1925.
The list is organized by county, containing names and title of the officers, headquarter and meeting information, total number of members, and political sympathies of the local elected officials.
The collection has been microfilmed on a reel containing additional small collections. This collection appears first in the series.
