The Parish Guild of Trinity Episcopal Parish in Connersville, Fayette County, was organized on 23 March 1905 "to bring its members into closer relations with each other: to initiate, encourage, and carry out such measures as will tend in a helpful, and Godly manner to secure needful revenues for the Parish, and to develop, in a truly Christian Spirit, its social life and to aid the "Rector" in the work of spreading the 'Kingdom of Heaven' upon Earth."
Reverend William Meier conducted the first service at what became Trinity Episcopal Church in 1850 and the parish was organized two years later. In 1856 the church's cornerstone was laid. The church was closed most of the time from 1860-1867 as a result of the Civil War. Trinity Church has been served by numerous pastors over the years, some of whom were not in residence but lived in Indianapolis and other towns.
