BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Presley B. Eskew, of Fayette County, bought land in Hamilton County in 1851. He died before 1864. Amos H. Eskew was living in Hamilton County 1863-1883. His wife was named Mary. Frank A. Eskew ran a grocery store in Eagletown, Hamilton County, between 1886 and 1904. He owned farmland in the county, which he rented out in 1922.

 

 

 

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This collection, filling one folder, contains deeds, a bill, and some recipes. It is arranged chronologically. The deeds trace members of the Eskew family as given above. Jesse Raines and W. G. Clark also appear on an agreement of 1913. There are also three recipes, two for liniment, one for a cure for "hog collery."
