SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This collection consists of three "rolls of an election…for the purpose of electing nine electors for President and Vice-President of the United States." The rolls, dated November 1832, are from Armstrong, Pigeon, and Union Townships in Vanderburgh County, Indiana. They list those individuals who took part in the election. Also present are the voting outcomes for each township. The election of 1832 resulted in Andrew Jackson's second term as president and Martin Van Buren's first as vice-president.
