NOTES: |
|
The collection is comprised of two scrapbooks donated by collector Raymond M. Featherstone, Jr. The first scrapbook (Box 1) is a collection of newsclippings, pamphlets, photographs, and other related materials from high school, collegiate, and social activities from the 1930s such as sporting events, theatrical productions, and vacations. Annotations on the items in the book indicate that Joann Buskirk, a Shortridge High School Student, may have assembled the material during the 1930s. The inside cover states that the blank book was given to “Jo Ann” from “Ethel” on 25 December 1929. The second scrapbook (Box 2) is an undated collection of matchbook covers from various businesses in Indiana and other states.
