NOTES: This collection consists of the final report for a project undertaken as part of Indiana Heritage Research Grant #95-3008. The St. Lawrence Centennial Committee and the Tippecanoe County Historical Association received an Indiana Heritage Research Grant (IHRG) from the Indiana Humanities Council and the Indiana Historical Society. The purpose of the grant was to document and evaluate the spiritual, cultural and social activities of St. Lawrence Parish, a working-class parish in Lafayette, Indiana (Tippecanoe Co.) The project produced an anthology of interviews, photographs and newspaper clippings, which is available at the Indiana Historical Society (holdings include interviews only), Indiana Humanities Council, St. Lawrence Parish and the Tippecanoe County Historical Association. All project materials were organized into the St. Lawrence Collection housed at the Tippecanoe County Historical Association.
"Church and Community: St. Lawrence Parish (1895-1930's)" was completed as part of an Indiana Heritage Research Grant (#95-3008) awarded to the St. Lawrence Centennial Committee and the Tippecanoe County Historical Association in 1995. This collection consists of a copy of the final report for the project. The report contains an abstract, oral history interview questions, a list of interviewees, typescripts of interviews, and copies of interview essays.
