HISTORICAL SKETCH

The St. Lawrence Centennial Committee and the Tippecanoe County Historical Association received an Indiana Heritage Research Grant (IHRG) from the Indiana Humanities Council and the Indiana Historical Society. The purpose of the grant was to document and evaluate the spiritual, cultural and social activities of St. Lawrence Parish, a working-class parish in Lafayette, Indiana (Tippecanoe Co.) The project produced an anthology of interviews, photographs and newspaper clippings, which is available at the Indiana Historical Society (holdings include interviews only), Indiana Humanities Council, St. Lawrence Parish and the Tippecanoe County Historical Association. All project materials were organized into the St. Lawrence Collection housed at the Tippecanoe County Historical Association.
