BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Garvin A. Jennings apparently lived in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was a member of the class of 1945 at L[exington?] High School. He was inducted into the Army in 1945 through Camp Atterbury, and during his brief service he seems to have traveled a great deal.

SCOPE AND CONTENT

This collection consists of one bound volume, the diary kept by Garvin Jennings from February through October 1945. It gives an idea of the intensity of basic and infantry training, alternating with the periods of "hurry up and wait" which are typical of military service.
