The collection consists of nine items relating to Dana and
Toronto, Indiana in Vermillion County.
Included are two Civil War letters from E. L. Andrews at Burnside
Barracks to his brother, Lorain, in Vermillion County, 1863, and from M.
Coffman with the 6th Indiana Cavalry at Nashville, Tennessee, to "Friend
William", 1865. There are also
other letters and cards to individuals in Toronto and Dana, Indiana from
friends and relatives in Lafayette, Indiana, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Oregon
House, California, Terre Haute, Indiana, and Bloomington, Indiana,
1865-191. The collection also contains a
receipt from the H. Lieber Company of Indianapolis, 1900, and an advertisement
for Taylor Peer, clothiers and jewelers
in Dana, n.d.
