The collection consists of eighteen progress photographs that depict the construction of the federal post office building in Hartford City, Indiana. The photographs were created in compliance with federal government regulations for construction projects.

Wright Studio of Hartford City photographed the construction site from the northeast, northwest, and southeast corners on a monthly or bi-monthly basis until June 1935. Three interior photographs depict the main work area and lobby in May and June 1935. Six photographs show construction workers and laborers at work.
