Claud and William “Will” Bock, Jr., were brothers from

This collection consists of photographs that Claud and Will
Bock brought back home from their service with the 161st Indiana
Volunteer Infantry during the Spanish–American War. Also included are some photographs of the
Bock family of

Album: This small 100–page album
appears to have belonged to Will Bock and to have been assembled years after
most of the photographs were taken. The
photographs range in date from 1898 to the 1920s, and are not in chronological
order in the album. The subjects include
scenes from the Bock brothers’ time with the 161st Indiana Volunteer
Infantry in
Series 2, Portraits, Unknown Locations: This series includes portraits of Claud and Will Bock, a few of their fellow soldiers, and an unidentified picture.
