HistoriCAL SKETCH

The proposed town of Sarah, proposed by the proprietor, Mr. John Brown, was to be located “in the Southwest part of the North East quadrant in Section 34 in Town No. 19 North of Range No. 9 West in Fountain County Indiana.   There is no evidence that the town was ever developed under that name.

The item is a hand drawn plat map with handwritten descriptions and related information submitted to the state of Indiana by a John Brown for the perspective town of Sarah, Indiana in Fountain County, 1830.
