historiCAL SKETCH

Queen City Electric Railway officially began in early 1891 under company president Russell B. Harrison; they failed however to complete construction of the tracks until late 1892. During its short life in Marion, Indiana, the company competed with Marion Street Railway and later Marion City Railway. In 1895 the company was sold at auction to Marion City Railway after going out of business.
