    Tell Me A Story

This exhibit, first showcased at the Indiana Historical Society's grand-opening celebration, is comprised of images from the society's 1999 annual photography contest.

Framed photographs combine with descriptive text by the photographers to portray Hoosier life and history in Tell Me A Story. Stories of the Feast of the Hunters' Moon, the Old Sycamore, and the Tornado of '98 are just a few of the many you will find in this traveling exhibition. The contest included entries from all parts of the state and involved photographers of all ages.

There are two parts, or groups, to this exhibit. Each group consists of 30 or 31 framed photographs and their accompanying "stories."

Each group requires approximately 70 linear feet of wall space. Borrower is responsible for hanging the exhibit and taking it down after the show.

County Fair

Up early to get these girls ready to show,
brushin' to get every last straw off 'em…
Pretty as they are, they didn't win, you know,
and a guy gets really pooped working that hard…
It's just good he gets a little time to snooze
while waitin' for the truck
to take us back home…
There's always next year,
for me.
