Terminal Tower, an office building often mistaken for Cleveland Union Terminal,
was the dominant feature of the terminal complex, which also included other office
buildings, the Hotel Cleveland, Higbee’s Department Store, and Cleveland’s
main post office. Union Terminal was entirely within the complex and shared an
entrance lobby with Terminal Tower. This aerial view from the south shows the
skylight of Union Terminal’s main concourse at the lower left; the Hotel
Cleveland is partially blocked from view by Terminal Tower. The four quadrants
of Public Square are just north and east of the tower. (Sherwin-Williams Company)
