This view looks toward Public Square from one of the two ramps that led to the
steam railroad station facilities of the Cleveland Union Terminal. During the
Tower City Center project, the floors of both of these ramps were leveled out,
with changes of grade handled by new stairs and escalators. The coffered ceilings
and historic lighting fixtures were restored, and today the former ramps retain
all of their original character. (Jeffrey T. Darbee)
