What’s In Your Genealogy Research Toolbox?

Feb. 18, 2012

Day Classrooms, History Center
10 a.m. - noon

Are you overwhelmed with the number of online resources for genealogical research? Are you constantly working with unorganized bookmarks or favorites? Do you print out lists of websites you use most? Learn to build a research toolbox that is organized, easy-to-use and can be accessed from almost anywhere. We’ll also cover some Google tools that you may have missed including books, magazines, photos, documents and more. You’ll leave this session with new ways to advance your genealogy research.

Thomas MacEntee is a professional genealogist specializing in the use of technology and social media to improve genealogy research and as a way to connect with others in the family history community. As the creator of GeneaBloggers.com, he has organized and engaged a community of more than 2,000 bloggers, and he writes and lectures on the many ways in which blogs, Facebook and Twitter can be leveraged to add new dimensions to the genealogy experience.
