Using Federal Court Records to Discover Prohibition and Family History

Discover Prohibition-related court records from the Great Lakes Region of the National Archives at this interactive workshop. Presenter Kris Maldre will highlight sample Prohibition gems from the National Archives and provide guidance and helpful hints to locate potential records for your own Indiana ancestors.
Kris Maldre is the education specialist for the National Archives – Great Lakes Region. Previously, Maldre served as a high school social studies teacher in Michigan and Illinois, the inaugural coordinator of the National History Day program in Wisconsin at the Wisconsin Historical Society, and the assistant director of the Library of Congress' Teaching with Primary Sources program at Loyola University in Chicago. Maldre has a bachelor’s degree from Knox College, a master’s degree in education from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and a master’s in history from Loyola University Chicago.
