Are you looking for a free choice project where your students can lead their own learning? Do you want a project that allows your students to explore their creativity? Need a project that all your students in grades four through 12 can participate in? Are you looking for a project that teaches skills your students will use throughout their lives?

Look no further than National History Day!

The Indiana Historical Society administers the state NHD contests. We’d love to introduce you to this program! It will challenge your students and help them develop life-long research and presentation skills. We’ll be at the Allen County Public Library Genealogy Center on Sept. 19 to talk about this wonderful program. Library staff will also talk about the resources available to students researching for NHD projects. Students in grades four through 12 are welcome to join in the discussion as well. There will also be activities for younger students during the session.
