Celebrate Black History Month by learning more about Indianapolis' African-American community during World War I. One hundred years ago, teacher Irven Armstrong was drafted to serve in the 351st Field Artillery in France. His students from Indianapolis Public School No. 17 wrote letters to him, relaying messages of life from the home front. Join youth actors from the IHS Museum Theater Program and senior archivist Wilma Moore as they bring these letters to life.
No registration required. Free with admission to the Indiana Experience.
