Midwestern Roots 2016: #YourStory

Mark your calendars for the Midwestern Roots Family History and Genealogy Conference scheduled for Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16 at the Marriott East in Indianapolis. Pre-conference events take place on Thursday, July 14 at various Indianapolis locations, including the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center.

Midwestern Roots 2016 will feature more than 30 sessions by nationally known speakers, including Cece Moore, Lisa Louise Cooke, Curt Witcher, and Juliana Szucs. Most of the sessions will focus on using ever-changing and emerging technology and online resources. Other sessions will cover DNA, methodology, using traditional sources, and legal genealogy. Pre-conference activities include a workshop for people who work or volunteer in genealogy collections, hands-on computer labs and writing workshops.
