The violin concertos of J.S. Bach are among the most celebrated works of all time, beloved for their combination of intellectual rigor and sensual beauty. Seattle Baroque Orchestra brings this magnificent music to life in a glorious program featuring Music Director Ingrid Matthews, who is considered one of today's foremost Bach interpreters. The concertos in E major and A minor will be heard alongside stunning and evocative works by 17th-century composers Biber, Schmelzer and Weichlein.
A discussion on the music will precede each concert at 7 p.m.
