Violin sensation Caroline Goulding will open the season performing Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto with the ICO. Goulding has been lauded for her "impressive technical polish and musical maturity" (Gramophone). In 2009, she was nominated for a Grammy for her debut recording. She is also a past violin recipient of the Stradivari Society, and currently plays the General Kyd Stradivarius. The performance will also include Michael Torke's Lucent Variations and Beethoven's Symphony No. 4 in B-Flat Major.
