Green Hill Cemetary

Grave Matters Cemetery Tour

June 6

Join IHS Membership and Local History Services staff on June 6, 2013, for our third exciting Grave Matters day trip.

This cemetery tour takes us through Lawrence and Monroe Counties, stopping at Bedford's Green Hill Cemetery and the local limestone quarry to hear about the history of limestone grave stones. We then travel through Bloomington, visiting historical cemeteries along the way.

Indiana cemetery expert Jeannie Regan-Dinius of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources will accompany the group, along with other experts, and make presentations on a number of subjects throughout the day. Lunch, snacks and transportation via coach will be provided.

To join us, RSVP to Jennifer Hiatt at (317) 234-2670 or jhiatt@indianahistory.org. Please consider registering early as space is limited to the first 50 participants.

$50, IHS members; $75 nonmembers (membership is included)
