After the Civil War, soldiers returned home and tried to re-create their earlier lives. However, they did not stop re-creating records based on their service.The post-Civil War era is a treasure trove of records and resources for family historians. Learn how to find and use these records to discover more about your Civil War ancestors and their families.

Amy Johnson Crow, MLIS, CG, is a writer, editor, researcher and lecturer. She is the genealogical content manager for Amy is a former editor of Ohio Civil War Genealogy Journal and is active in the Indiana Genealogical Society. 

$10; members $8; attend both family history programs on Sept 15 and pay $15; members $12. Includes parking and admission to the Indiana Experience that day.
