March 10, 2016
Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center
Stardust Terrace Café
7 to 9 p.m.
Zines are small, DIY publications that have a long and rich history in the feminist movement. Join us for a Women's History Month zine workshop with co-presenters, Rad Grrls Club and General Public Collective. Learn a little about zine history and connect IHS collections to your own life to make your very own or create one with friends.
Rad Grrls Club is a women's artists group. Bree Gerard from Rad Grrls will be here to teach you a little zine history and what they mean in the context of women’s history. General Public Collective is an artist-run project space and shop dedicated to the arts here in Indianapolis. Erin Drew from GPC will talk about what the local zine scene looks like and how GPC is involved.
$5 members; $7 nonmembers. Price includes one drink ticket for Sun King beer. Light refreshments provided.
Register at online or call (317)232-1882.
An #INCrowd event.
