Free Fun on the Fourth at the Indiana History Center

The Indiana Historical Society (IHS) invites guests to enjoy a free day of fun and music in downtown Indianapolis, ahead of the city's Fourth of July fireworks. The Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center, home of IHS and the Indiana Experience, will host a special edition of its Concerts on the Canal series, plus introduce Indiana Olympics.

Hoosier Students Make Mark at National Contest for National History Day

The Indiana delegation of 60 students competed against 3,000 other students from across the country and from international schools around the world.

IHS Announces 2017 Concerts on the Canal Lineup, Free Admission Thursdays
May 15, 2017

The Concerts on the Canal series returns to downtown Indianapolis Thursday nights, May 25 through July 27, and features a special Fourth of July concert. In addition, IHS is offering free admission and extended hours at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center on concert Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on July 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

IHS Presents Two-day Workshop with the Legal Genealogist
April 27, 2017

Over the course of a two-day workshop, May 19 and 20, Judy G. Russell will lead five sessions aimed at getting legal records to reveal their secrets. All sessions will take place at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center, located at 450 W. Ohio St. in downtown Indianapolis.
