IHS Announces Plans for Indiana's 200th Birthday Celebration
Nov. 25, 2016

On Sunday, Dec. 11, the Indiana Historical Society (IHS) is marking Statehood Day with a 200th birthday bash featuring hands-on activities, programs and treats for guests of all ages. The celebration, which runs from noon to 4:30 p.m. at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center, is free for IHS members or included with admission to the Indiana Experience.

IHS’s Holiday Author Fair Offers Free Access to Award-Winning Authors, Festival of Trees

This year, the Indiana Historical Society's (IHS's) free annual Holiday Author Fair features award-winning authors, buzzed-about "it" titles and an appearance by retired Indiana Fever star and Olympic gold medalist Tamika Catchings. The mixing, mingling and book signing takes place Saturday, Dec. 3, from noon to 4 p.m., at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center.

IHS Presents #BigDrawIndy: Bicentennial Edition

The Indiana Historical Society (IHS) is offering free admission and several new art stations for the final year of its #BigDrawIndy event. On Saturday, Oct. 15, IHS will turn the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center into a giant art studio for #BigDrawIndy: Bicentennial Edition.

New IHS Exhibit Highlights High School Hoops History

The Indiana Historical Society's (IHS's) new photo exhibit, The Hoosier Hardwood Photo Project: A Journey to Indiana's Historic High School Gyms, features photographs by Michael E. Keating and Chris Smith. The exhibit runs Saturday, Oct. 1 through Saturday, Nov. 12 at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center.

New IHS Exhibit Explores the Life and Legacy of Colonel Eli Lilly

IHS's newest exhibit, You Are There: Eli Lilly at the Beginning, runs Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016 through Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center, open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
