    LOCAL HISTORY SERVICES:: Orphans Corner  
  The Local History Services Department serves as a "clearing house" for used items and materials, aka "orphans," that might be useful to local historical organizations. The availability of these items has been announced in one or more past issues of COMMUNIQUE ONLINE. If you are not subscribed to this online newsletter, e-mail the Local History Services office and ask to be added to the distribution list.

To arrange to adopt any of these orphans, please contact Stacy Klingler at sklingler@indianahistory.org or (317) 233-3110. Most orphans will be given "as is" and as unrestricted gifts either by their owners or by the Indiana Historical Society.

NOTE: If your organization has deaccessioned artifacts, exhibit components, books, office equipment or other materials that it would like to donate to another nonprofit organization, please contact Stacy Klingler to arrange for a free listing in the Orphans Corner section of COMMUNIQUE ONLINE.

New orphans become available almost weekly, so be sure to check this page frequently. The following orphans are currently available for adoption:
